This latest installment in the Timeless series, delves deep into the very concept of spiritual. What does that mean? Is it seeing the magic and beauty in nature and its interwoven threads through humanity? Is it the loving ties to friends and family that bind us by some invisible unbreakable force through eternity? Is it the unshakeable belief in something beyond the corporeal, an infinite omnipotent artist that painted our universe into existence?
While reading the beautiful poetry, I found myself deep diving into my mind, connecting with my own beliefs in the nature of the spirit. As described so beautifully in Perfectly Timeless Timing, the spirit and nature are one, as the nature of the divine can be observed in everything around us. Nature is also a portal for spirits of those detethered from their flesh, to communicate with and stay in touch with those still bound to theirs. Be it a hummingbird that stares, knowingly, eye to eye. Or in my case, a canine with an old soul and familiar wisdom, or a breeze on a hot day that keeps me cool as I commune with the departed.
After reading the poetry, I allowed my connection to the spirit held deep within, to come to the surface. I gave myself the space and time to observe the insects, the flowers, trees, stones, people, birds, and lizards as they exercised with push ups on nearby logs. I connected with my perception, questioned my sight, and wondered about what is left unseen.
These poems made me think of untouchable beautiful places that live in my memory, and the beauty that surrounds us, available at our fingertips if we dare to reach out and touch it.
